Patna, April 3 -- Bihar BJP president Sanjay Saraogi on Friday alleged that the Congress failed to pass the Women's Reservation Bill for nearly three decades, while it was cleared within two days under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Saraogi said here that the Prime Minister was committed to ensuring adequate representation to women in legislative bodies. He added that the Centre is keen to ensure that women do not face delays in availing the benefits of reservation, and the bill has been introduced to increase women's participation in the 2029 elections.
