Lucknow, Oct. 6 -- The Congress has strongly condemned the brutal murder of a Dalit youth, Hariom Paswan, in Uttar Pradesh's Raebareli district and has demanded Rs 1 crore compensation, a government job for a family member, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the incident.

The party has also demanded that all accused should be charged under IPC Section 302 (murder), Section 120B (criminal conspiracy), and relevant provisions of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
