Hyderabad, April 16 -- Telangana BJP President N Ramachander Rao on Thursday accused the Congress of attempting to create a divide between North and South India over the issue of delimitation, and alleged that the party was misleading the public for political gains.

Addressing the media at the BJP state office here, Rao said Telangana currently has 17 Lok Sabha seats and dismissed claims that the delimitation process would adversely affect southern states. He asserted that such arguments were "false propaganda" being spread by the Congress.
