Bhubaneswar, July 16 -- Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Bhakta Charan Das on Thursday blamed the BJP government for what he described as the "third consecutive failure" in managing the annual Rath Yatra, following the death of a devotee and reports of several injuries during the festival in Puri.
Expressing deep sorrow over the death of a devotee allegedly caused by overcrowding, Das urged the Odisha Government to strengthen crowd management and security arrangements to prevent such incidents during major religious congregations.
