Ranchi, May 10 -- Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee vice-president and media chairman Satish Paul Munjani on Sunday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of making "misleading" statements on the law and order situation in Jharkhand for political purposes.
In a statement issued here, Munjani said BJP leaders should first review the law and order situation in states governed by the party before raising questions over Jharkhand. He alleged that crimes against women, communal violence and organised crimes remained matters of concern in several BJP-ruled states.
He referred to Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Assam and Manipur, and claimed that questions regarding law and order had been raised in those states from time to time.
