Bhubaneswar, July 23 -- The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Odisha government, accusing it of denying political reservation to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in Panchayat and Urban Local Body (ULB) elections .
Addressing a press conference at Congress Bhawan here, former MLA and PCC Organisation In-charge Santosh Singh Saluja, senior party spokesperson Sonali Sahu, and Debashish Bhuyan alleged that the absence of OBC reservation in local body elections is unjust and deprives a majority section of the state's population of meaningful political representation at the grassroots level.
