Ranchi, March 7 -- The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee on Saturday strongly criticised the Central Government over the recent hike in LPG cylinder prices, alleging that the move places an additional burden on poor and middle-class households.
Satish Paul Munjni, Chairman of the media department of the state Congress unit, said the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government at the Centre increased the price of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 60 and commercial cylinders by Rs 115, which will directly affect ordinary citizens. He alleged that the decision amounts to a "raid on the kitchens of the poor and middle class," especially at a time when people are already grappling with rising inflation.
