Dehra, Sept. 3 -- The Congress party today alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has indulged in the "shameful political game" of attempting to purchase MLAs with money power in Himachal Pradesh, but despite such efforts, it failed to attain power.

Former spokesperson of the Kangra District Congress Committee and member of the State Traders Welfare Board, Sapan Sood, told UNI that the entire country has witnessed the BJP's "blatant attempt" to lure six Congress MLAs and three Independents allegedly through financial inducements. He asserted that the ruling Congress government under Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is firmly countering the BJP's propaganda and is steadily expanding its mass base in the state.
