Hyderabad, July 13 -- The Telangana BJP on Monday alleged that the Congress and the BRS were "two sides of the same coin" on farmers' issues, accusing both parties of failing to protect the interests of the farming community.
In a statement, BJP Telangana chief spokesperson and media in-charge N V Subash said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's remarks advising farmers to shift to less water-intensive crops due to the anticipated water shortage echoed the stand taken by former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao during the BRS regime.
He alleged that both governments had failed to address the problems faced by farmers and had instead asked them to alter cropping patterns because of inadequate water availability.
