Bengaluru, Sept. 10 -- Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge on Thursday set the tone for the Congress' 2028 battle, declaring that the party would return to power and describing the first 100 days of Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's tenure as only the beginning of a long-term policy, economic and employment push.

"This is just the beginning," Priyank Kharge told reporters here, asserting that Shivakumar was building on the work of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah while preparing a broader roadmap for the state.

"His intention is very clear. There is going to be policy, economic, and employment acceleration," he said.
