Thiruvananthapuram, April 5 -- Senior Congress leader Renuka Chowdhury on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of focusing on "film reviews" instead of addressing pressing governance challenges, while also raising serious concerns over rising crimes against women in Kerala.

Addressing a press conference at the KPCC office, Chowdhury described a "disturbing paradox" in Kerala-traditionally known for its high literacy and matriarchal legacy-now witnessing an increase in gender-based violence and misogyny.
