Patna, Aug. 31 -- The Congress today slammed the Election Commission of India's assertion that there were "zero complaints" regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar, and claimed that the party had submitted 89 lakh complaints.
Addressing a press conference here, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera, along with Bihar Congress president Rajesh Ram, demanded that all those names, which have been deleted, must be verified again.
Khera said while the Congress does not want any illegal voter in the electoral rolls, it was simultaneously opposed to the name of any rightful voter being removed from the list, whether deliberately or inadvertently.
