Ranchi, April 11 -- The Jharkhand Congress on Saturday rejected the BJP's allegations of financial mismanagement in the state, terming them politically motivated.
State Congress general secretary and media in-charge Rakesh Sinha said the NITI Aayog's Financial Health Index 2026 has placed Jharkhand third in the country, indicating a strong fiscal position.
He said several BJP-ruled states such as Gujarat, Bihar, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have performed poorly in the index.
Sinha said allegations of financial mismanagement are aimed at creating confusion and gaining political ground.
On the issue of delay in salary payments, he said such delays in the first month of a financial year have occurred earlier as well.
