Bengaluru, Aug. 22 -- With signs of growing discontent within the ruling Congress, senior leader Satish Jarkiholi on Saturday called for greater unity among party leaders and ministers, saying all factions must be brought on to a common platform to strengthen the organisation and consolidate the AHINDA base.

His remarks assume significance as Congress leaders and ministers have been holding discussions on organisational issues, the party's future course and dissatisfaction among some leaders.

"We have to move together and ensure that our strength is used for the party. We have met earlier and will continue to meet," Jarkiholi told reporters.
