Mumbai, Sept. 10 -- Congress MLA and Deputy Leader of Congress Legislative Party Amin Patel has sought extension of the deadline for re-enrolment of deleted voters and hearing of anomaly cases, alleging that nearly 95,832 voters have been deleted in Mumbadevi Assembly constituency during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
In a letter to State Chief Electoral Officer S Chokkalingam on Wednesday, Patel said the Election Commission recently concluded the SIR drive and published the draft electoral roll on August 31, 2026.
In Mumbadevi alone, around 95,832 voters have been shown as deleted on grounds of ASDD - Absent, Shifted, Duplicate and Dead, the MLA said.
