Hyderabad, July 18 -- Senior Congress leader and former Hyderabad District Congress Committee president Mohammed Waliullah Sameer on Saturday alleged that the BJP was attempting to create communal tension in Telangana by exaggerating isolated incidents and organising politically motivated protests.
In a statement, Sameer claimed that while some recent incidents involving educational institutions and religious sensitivities required legal action, several had already been addressed by the police and the authorities concerned.
He alleged that BJP leaders were trying to turn local disputes into communal confrontations instead of allowing the law to take its course.
