Bengaluru, July 16 -- The Congress high command on Thursday failed to break the deadlock over the Karnataka Cabinet expansion despite high-level consultations with the state's top leadership in New Delhi, signalling that a consensus on the long-awaited ministerial reshuffle has yet to emerge.
Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC president BK Hariprasad met Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi to discuss the proposed Cabinet expansion, party organisation and the political situation in Karnataka. AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala also participated in the discussions.
