Bengaluru, July 7 -- Tension prevailed in Bengaluru on Tuesday after Congress workers allegedly staged a protest in front of BJP MLA Suresh Kumar's office over allegations of irregularities linked to a BBMP matter. The protesters raised slogans against the former minister and attempted to gherao his office before police intervened, according to media reports.
The protest followed a complaint filed by the Congress before the Lokayukta alleging that the BBMP had suffered a loss of around Rs 300 crore due to decisions taken during Suresh Kumar's tenure. The BJP leader has denied the allegations and said he would submit his response to the Lokayukta.
