Bengaluru, July 24 -- Escalating the political battle over alleged irregularities in government recruitment, the Karnataka Congress on Friday launched a blistering attack on Leader of Opposition R Ashok, accusing the BJP of presiding over some of the state's biggest recruitment scams while attempting to shift the blame onto the present government.
Rejecting Ashok's charge that government jobs were being "sold" and that the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) had turned into a "rate card", the ruling party said the BJP lacked the moral authority to question recruitment transparency after scams that surfaced during its own tenure.
