Shimla, Feb. 12 -- Basic services were partially disrupted across Himachal Pradesh on Thursday as unions affiliated with the Congress and the CPI(M), along with other central trade unions and farmers' organisations, observed the All India Strike, impacting electricity and other public utilities in several districts.
Employees, engineers and pensioners of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) joined the nationwide protest, leading to reduced functioning in offices and field operations. Engineers under the Himachal Power Engineers Association also stayed away from duty.
