Hyderabad, June 20 -- Conditions are favourable for the further advance of the Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and parts of Chhattisgarh around June 23, the Regional Meteorological Centre said today.

Under its influence, heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places across Telangana from June 23 to 26. Thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds ranging from 40 to 50 kmph, are also likely at isolated places in the state during the next seven days.

The Met Centre said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana during the same period.
