Chennai, Jan. 14 -- Met office on Wednesday said though the Northeast Monsoon has been active over South Tamilnadu, the conditions are favourable for the cessation of the Monsoon over Southern Peninsular India in the next three days.
In a latest update this evening, the Met office said rainfall occurred at a few places over Tamilnadu and at many places over South Tamilnadu and at a few places over North Tamilnadu.
Very light rain also occurred over Karaikal area, while dry weather prevailed over Puducherry.
