Pune, Aug. 6 -- The complainant in the criminal defamation case filed against Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi over his alleged defamatory remarks about freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar has moved an application before the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class and Special MP-MLA Court in Pune, presided over by Judge Amol Shriram Shinde, seeking a fixed timeline for the completion of his cross-examination.
The application has been filed by the complainant, Satyaki Savarkar, under Section 309 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
