New Delhi, Sept. 18 -- The bus services in the national capital remained affected on Friday as the buses operated by the concessionaires remained off the roads with drivers on strike over various demands, including wage hikes, medical facilities and overtime payments, etc.

Commuters who regularly take buses to work were the ones worst affected, followed by those who are dependent on bus routes for their travel, while Delhi Metro also has witnessed increased passenger footfall since the strike.

According to locals, fewer buses were available, and the situation left them stranded at bus stops for a longer time.
