New Delhi, July 1 -- Commercial LPG cylinder prices were reduced by Rs 183.50 across major cities on Wednesday, offering significant relief to hotels, restaurants, caterers and other businesses that depend on the fuel for daily operations.

The reduction, effective from July 1, is the first cut in commercial LPG prices this year.

Following the latest revision by oil marketing companies, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has come down to Rs 2,930 from Rs 3,113.50 in June.

Similar reductions have been announced in other cities, with the price falling to around Rs 2,885.50 in Mumbai, Rs 3,072 in Kolkata and Rs 3,100 in Chennai.
