Mirzapur, Sept. 4 -- A 55-year-old professor allegedly died by suicide inside the chemistry lab of Shri Gandhi Inter College, Kachhwa. The professor, Dr Dilip Kumar, was found hanging from a ceiling fan, with the entire act captured on CCTV.
According to police sources, the lab door was locked from the inside. Upon being informed by a fellow teacher who noticed the body, the police arrived at the scene and broke open the door. The forensic team also reached the spot and collected evidence. No suicide note was recovered. Dr Kumar, a resident of Cholapur in Varanasi, was a senior chemistry teacher and had been serving at the college for many years.
