Bhubaneswar, June 3 -- union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari for allocating Rs.8300 crore for Coastal Highway Project.

The union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved the construction of a Greenfield Coastal Highway from Rameswar to Paradip via Konark in Odisha under NH-90 as part of its first phase.

The project, spanning approximately 160.18 km, has been sanctioned at an estimated cost of over Rs.8,300 crore.

Welcoming the decision, Pradhan said the Modi government remains committed to Odisha's infrastructure and economic development.
