New Delhi, July 10 -- Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth visited the Northern Command from July 7 to 9 to review the prevailing security situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and in the hinterland of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army said today.
During his visit, General Seth toured formations under the Indian Army Northern Command, including Chinar Corps and White Knight Corps, besides visiting forward areas to assess operational preparedness and security arrangements.
The Army Chief was briefed on the evolving security environment, operational deployments, counter-terrorism operations, inter-agency coordination, infrastructure development and measures being undertaken to enhance combat capability in the region.
