New Delhi, July 15 -- Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth reviewed the operational preparedness and prevailing security situation in the strategically important Eastern Command during a two-day visit to key military formations, reaffirming the Indian Army's focus on vigilance, modernisation and combat readiness.

During his two-day visit to the Trishakti Corps, General Seth was briefed on the operational environment in the Eastern Command, including the security situation along the sensitive frontiers.
