Kolkata, Aug. 5 -- West Bengal Chief Minister and state police minister Suvendu Adhikari conducted surprise inspections at multiple police stations in Kolkata on Wednesday, reviewing infrastructure, lock-up facilities, and the handling of public complaints.
The Chief Minister first visited Watgunj Police Station in his own Bhabanipur Assembly constituency, where he assessed the functioning of the local police administration.
During the inspection, he examined complaint registers and case records and asked police officers about the action taken on individual complaints.
While going through the registers, he was heard reminding officers that complaints must be followed by prompt action.
