Bengaluru, May 1 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday accused the Narendra Modi-led Centre of "organised looting", while Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar labelled the post-election LPG price hike a "backstabbing" of voters, as the state's Congress leadership mounted an aggressive attack over rising fuel costs.
The sharp remarks came after the Centre increased prices of commercial LPG cylinder, a move the Congress leaders claimed was deliberately delayed until Assembly elections were over.
"As we warned all along, the moment Assembly elections got over, the Narendra Modi government has hiked prices again," Siddaramaiah said in a post on X.
