Bengaluru, May 1 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday accused the Narendra Modi-led Centre of "organised looting", while Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar labelled the post-election LPG price hike a "backstabbing" of voters, as the state's Congress leadership mounted an aggressive attack over rising fuel costs.

The sharp remarks came after the Centre increased prices of commercial LPG cylinder, a move the Congress leaders claimed was deliberately delayed until Assembly elections were over.
