Mumbai, Sept. 1 -- On the fourth day of the ongoing Maratha protest at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, security outside the office and residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been further tightened.

The police have stepped up security measures in view of the swelling crowds and disruptions caused by the morcha. A video emerged showing protestors stopping vehicles, performing stunts, and even playing cricket on the road, which resulted in massive traffic snarls across south Mumbai and adjoining areas.

To prevent any untoward incident, police have set up three-layer barricading around the Mantralaya, with officers deployed at every entry point to ensure no breach occurs.
