Hyderabad, Sept. 5 -- Fulfilling a key electoral promise, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddytoday handed over appointment letters to 5,106 Grama Paripalana Officers (Village Administrative Officers) (GPOs)/ Village Revenue Officers (VROs) at the "Koluvula Pandaga" programme heldat Hitex, Madhapur.
The Chief Minister said the reappointment of VROs marked the revival of the revenue system at the grassroots, which was dismantled during the previous regime.
He assured that the new system under the Bhu Bharati Act would act as a bridge between the government and the poor, ensuring quick resolution of land-related issues and protecting farmers' interests.
