Hyderabad, Aug. 27 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today directed all department officials and staff to remain on high alert in view of the continuing rains in Hyderabad and across the state.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to immediately evacuate people living in old and dilapidated houses and shift them to safer places. He also asked Transco authorities to take strict precautions near Vinayaka Mandapams to prevent any risk from electric poles and transformers during the festive season.

Revanth Reddy stressed the need for close coordination among the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board, GHMC, SDRF, fire services, and police to prevent untoward incidents. He also directed that vehicular movement be bar...
