New Delhi, March 2 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday laid the foundation stone for the permanent building of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Khajuri Khas area of North-East Delhi. She also inaugurated the temporary building of the school.
Addressing the gathering, Gupta said the project is an important and historic step for Karawal Nagar and the entire North-East Delhi region.
She said the area had long faced a shortage of quality educational facilities and was dependent on only one Kendriya Vidyalaya. The new school will provide better and modern education to children and improve the overall academic environment of the region.
