Hyderabad, Nov. 11 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday said that the passing of renowned poet and writer Andesri is an irreplaceable loss to both the state and to him personally.

Speaking to the media after participating in the funeral at Ghatkesar, he recalled Andesri's lifelong commitment to the Telangana movement and the cultural identity of the state.

The Chief Minister said Andesri, who had worked as a cattle herder and mason before emerging as a voice of the Telangana struggle, inspired people through his writings and songs. "Along with Gaddar Anna, Andesri ignited the spirit of Telangana. Every song he wrote carried the pulse of the land," he said.
