Srinagar, Oct. 24 -- Over a week after announcing the restoration of the Darbar Move, J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today emphasized on ensuring a smooth, secure and well-coordinated shifting of offices from Srinagar to Jammu.

He said this while chairing a high-level meeting to review the arrangements for the upcoming Darbar Move. The upcoming Darbar Move Session marks the revival of the 150-year-old biannual tradition of shifting government offices between Srinagar and Jammu.

An official spokesman said at the outset, Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD) M. Raju made a detailed presentation on the transport arrangements and logistical aspects of the Darbar move convoy.
