Vijayawada, July 20 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has urged Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal to provide export incentives for FCV tobacco produced in Andhra Pradesh.

In a letter to union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday, the Chief Minister said that competing countries such as Zimbabwe and Tanzania provide subsidies and duty concessions to their exporters, while Indian exporters receive no comparable support.

Naidu sought the inclusion of unmanufactured tobacco under the RoDTEP scheme and called for GST relief to support lakhs of tobacco farmers, traders and exporters in the state.
