Chandigarh, April 11 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday finalized an extensive series of events to commemorate the upcoming 650th Parkash Purab of Guru Ravidass in an unprecedented manner.
Following a high-level meeting with the Sant Samaj at Punjab Bhawan, the Chief Minister announced that the state will host year-long celebrations aimed at taking the Guru's message of equality and human dignity to the global stage. The finalized plan includes seminars, kirtan samagams, yatras, and a massive environmental initiative involving the development of 650 acres of 'Guru Ravidass Bagichis' across the state.
