Bhubaneswar, June 27 -- Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday launched the Odisha chapter of the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), an initiative supported by NITI Aayog aimed at expanding women's participation in entrepreneurship and strengthening their role in the state's economic development.
Launching the initiative during the 'Udyami Odisha MSME Programme' and International MSME Day celebrations at Lok Seva Bhavan Convention Centre, the Chief Minister described WEP as a major step towards establishing women's economic leadership in Odisha's growth journey.
Majhi said the government envisions an Odisha where women emerge not as job seekers but as job creators, becoming producers, innovators and leaders of development.
