Ranchi, June 1 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday directed officials to prepare a comprehensive plan for providing e-cycles to students in place of conventional bicycles under the state's bicycle distribution scheme.
Chairing a review meeting of the Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minority and Backward Class Welfare Department, Soren asked officials to formulate a practical roadmap keeping in view present requirements and changing circumstances.
He said better coordination should be ensured among the welfare, school education and industry departments for implementation of the proposal.
