New Delhi, July 18 -- Football fans in the national capital will be able to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 final from restaurants and cafes late into the night, with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announcing on Saturday that eligible establishments across the city can remain open until 4 am this weekend.

The move is aimed at allowing fans to enjoy the World Cup final between defending champions Argentina and Spain, which is scheduled to kick off at 12.30 am IST on Sunday (July 20).

Announcing the decision in a post on X, Gupta said the extended operating hours have been enabled under the Delhi government's 24x7 business-friendly operating framework introduced as part of its ease-of-doing-business reforms.
