Thiruvananthapuram, April 15 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has extended Vishu greetings, urging people to welcome the festival-symbolising prosperity and abundance with fresh hope and renewed optimism.

In his message, the Chief Minister said Vishu should inspire society to move forward with greater resolve by upholding the values of goodness and humanity.

He noted that festivals carry the larger message of equality beyond all differences and called for strengthening unity and brotherhood.

Emphasising collective effort, he urged people to join hands in building a prosperous "New Kerala." He also conveyed heartfelt wishes to Malayalis across the globe.
