Jammu, Aug. 1 -- Several structures were damaged after a cloudburst hit the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir during the early hours of Saturday.
Flash floods and debris triggered by the cloudburst damaged multiple structures, including commercial establishments, and caused panic among residents in the area.No loss of life or injuries were reported in the incident, officials said.
Police and administrative officials rushed to the spot to assess the damage and oversee relief measures.
The Meteorological Department had forecast intense rainfall in the Jammu division and adjoining areas, warning of possible flash floods, landslides, mudslides and waterlogging in vulnerable areas.
