Patna, March 1 -- On the occasion of the birthday of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, clothes stitched by women associated with JEEViKA self-help groups were distributed among children enrolled at Anganwadi centres.
Rural Development Minister Shrawan Kumar, while distributing the clothes in a programme organised in Valmikinagar under Bagaha-02 block of West Champaran district today, said that a special clothing distribution programme is being organized across all districts of the state. He said that the programme is a joint effort of the Rural Development Department and the Social Welfare Department, during which around 50 lakh Anganwadi children across the state are being provided with quality and uniform dresses.
