Farrukhabad, Nov. 15 -- A clerk posted at the Superintendent of Police (SP) office in Farrukhabad has been arrested on charges of bribery on Friday. A six-member team from the Lucknow Anti-Corruption Organization unit caught him red-handed while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.
According to officials, the accused clerk, Harendra Singh Chauhan, posted as Bade Babu (senior clerk) in the office of SP Aarti Singh, had demanded a bribe from Head Constable Aditya Kumar in exchange for clearing his TA-DA related departmental work. Aditya Kumar subsequently filed a complaint with the Lucknow Anti-Corruption Organization Headquarters.
