Gorakhpur, Dec. 26 -- A class 11 student was shot dead inside a cooperative inter college in Gorakhpur on Friday afternoon, causing panic on the campus and tension in the surrounding area.
The victim, 17-year-old Sudhir Bharti, a resident of Garhwa village under Pipraich police station limits, was standing with his friends in the college playground around 1:30 pm when three youths arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at him. One bullet hit Sudhir in the neck, killing him on the spot. The assailants fled from the scene while waving their firearms.
