Aligarh, Nov. 15 -- A wedding celebration in Atrauli turned violent when a clash broke out between members of a wedding procession from Agra and local villagers. The altercation escalated into a fierce fight involving sticks, leaving several people injured, police said.
The groom's cousin, Vinay, sustained a severe head injury and later died during treatment, police said on Saturday.
The incident occurred at Laxmi Farm House in Madhauli village, where the wedding of Ranjit Singh's daughter was being held on Friday night. The groom, Rahul, son of Omveer Singh from Seeta Nagar in the Etmadpur area of Agra, had arrived with his wedding procession.
