Parwinder SandhuNew Delhi, June 3 -- Security agencies on Wednesday dismissed as false a viral social media claim alleging that 18 Indian Army personnel had been killed during an ongoing operation in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, even as a major anti-terror operation in the region entered its 12th consecutive day.
The clarification came after several social media users circulated a video claiming it showed explosions and heavy firing during an Indian Army operation in Rajouri, resulting in multiple casualties among security forces.
Rejecting the claim, the Press Information Bureau's Fact Check unit said the video had no connection with Jammu and Kashmir and was being used to spread misinformation.
