Chandigarh, Nov. 29 -- Chief Justice of India Surya Kant reached O P Jindal Global University in Sonipat to participate in a two-day international conference focused on judicial independence and broader perspectives on civil liberties. union Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal also attended the event as a distinguished guest. Both were welcomed on their arrival at the university campus.
The conference began at the Jindal International Convention Centre in the Shallu Jindal Academic Block. This marks Justice Surya Kant's first visit to Haryana after assuming office as Chief Justice of India.
